THIS WINTER, THE HEAT WAS ON AT USC!
While Northeast Ohio faced frigid temperatures and heavy snowfall, USC student-athletes were bringing the heat on the squash courts—thanks to the opportunities made possible by our community of supporters.
Our younger players traveled to Detroit for competition and hosted peers from Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Cleveland’s east side for exciting matches here at home—building confidence, sportsmanship, and lasting friendships along the way. Meanwhile, our high school athletes competed in the third year of Cleveland’s High School League and welcomed players from our sister program, Racquet Up Detroit, for a fun-filled squash social and pizza party that strengthened connections beyond the court.
USC’s most competitive players also tested their skills in the Cleveland Community Squash House League, going head-to-head with both fellow student-athletes and adult competitors.
Over the weekend of April 10 nine athletes went to Chicago and competed in the 2026 Chicago SEA Tournament and we came away with two golds, two silvers and three bronze medals in one of the most successful weekends of the program’s history!
From thrilling matches to meaningful moments of connection, the season was full of energy—on and off the court. And if you’ve seen some of the backhands lately, you know: our student-athletes are on fire.
